Barneys’ Bakers Whip Up Goodies That Give Back

Barneys New York Bake Sale
As the Foodie Holiday slowly overtakes us here at Barneys, the staff found some time to bake up some delicious goodies for a good cause. Our annual Fall Bake Sale and Raffle raked in enough dough to provide 16,805 meals for hungry New Yorkers. The proceeds collected from both our New York and Lyndhurst locations were donated to the Food Bank For New York City, an organization founded in 1983 with a mission to better communities throughout the five boroughs by providing food and meals to those in need.

Human resource representative, Diane Romano, organized the bake sale with help from the corporate Human Resources team. There was a slew of tasty confections whipped up by our very talented staff. Fall was represented in all its splendor, from caramel apples to spooky Halloween treats. My personal fave were the soft chewy brownies – can’t have a bake sale without em’! We would like to give a special thanks to the merchants and other corporate executives who donated merchandise for the raffles, and congratulations to all our winners!
