I would like a chance to sing because in these parts I am known as the karaoke queen and nobody will be able to beat my rendition of Madonna’s Like a Prayer! Sure winner every time!

I’m coming all the way from Canada for Fashion’s Night Out! I’m going to tell the customs officer at the airport that the purpose of my trip is to win the Great FNO Karaoke Challenge. And we all know that you can’t lie to customs officers, right?

This is the most amazing combination imaginable: Mary-Kate and Ashley, Barneys, Fashion, Proenza Schouler, and Karaoke? Yes, please! I have loved the Olsens since their epic caper through The Mystery of the Logical I Ranch, and I can’t wait to see their new fashion line. What an amazing journey they’ve had, and they’re only a month older than me. Icons. Love them. I just moved to NYC, and this would be the best welcome to a new home present. Ever.

Ever since I moved to NYC I’ve seen the occasional celebrity, but when my friends ask me about it, I always tell them I am dying to see Mary-Kate Olsen! I love her and think her fashion sense is amazing! Over-sized bags, shirts, and glasses make me so happy! In addition, Barney’s NY is easily my favorite store in town. It is so convenient to find all my favorite brands (not to mention exclusive items) all in one place. I looove karaoke and although my voice isn’t amazing, I am addicted to the limelight.

If you would like to see a girl truly embarrass herself by knowing every word to almost any song and being off key the enter time…I’m your girl. Doing it in front of celebrities would only be the highlight to my shameless [but proud] bad singing.

I’ve gone skydiving, puppeteered in a film, and sang in an opera this month. I can’t think of anything better to top it off or anything more challenging than testing out my pop music chops in front of a fashion week crowd and the amazing Olsens! Talk about a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and at Barney’s New York!

I am the next American Idol because . . . oh, sorry, wrong forum. Actually, when the first season of AI aired, I was already too old to be a contestant, but I never gave up the dream! (You would think at 40, maybe I should know better.) I don’t know much about fashion except what I pick up when my wife forces me to watch America’s Next Top Model, but I think the Olsens are cute and shrewd, and I can sing like nobody’s business. Want me to prove it?

I deserve to sing at Barneys FNO because:

    – I’ve met Oprah, the woman that owns the other half of the world that the Olsens don’t

    – I’m an Asian man with the voice of a Black man

    – and I know that, “September is the January of fashion.” Which should be pronounced, “Septembah is tha Januawry of Fawshawn.”

. because “I Am The Cute One” with a “Brother For Sale”!

. No, I didn’t have an album out when I was six yrs old but I had a hairbrush, a window seat, and extended family who listened to me belt “Tomorrow” on a loop and somehow never dropped their smiles or waivered in their support of the dreams of any of us kids.

.because NYC is my home. After losing my cousin 9 yrs ago on 9/11, I know that my soul and the music inside of me could ever feel more complete anywhere else. I sing because back in 2000 “she” told me to “follow your art” and in doing that, I carry her with me.

. because I really do sing- Carnegie Hall (w/ HS Chorus), The Waldorf Astoria (Talent Show), a number of college a’capella groups, “Los Banditos Del Canto” – my musical improv group… and I’m not looking to make a fool of myself… I just want to share the message in the music… and have a whole lotta fun doing it! 🙂

You should pick me because singing karaoke at Barney’s on Fashion’s Night Out is pretty much my fantasy world, (although admittedly probably without the having high tea with F. Scott Fitzgerald and Coco Chanel part, but I digress). Plus, I’ll sing so high that the dogs over at the Bergdorf Goodman dog fashion show will hear me, and drag everyone over to Barney’s instead.

I must be picked because when I sing I transmit feelings to my audience. I create emotions and develop a story for the audience. Those who have listened to me they can not stop, for those who have not beware because I am addictive. I want to gain as much experience as I can. I believe that in order to grow you have to be open minded and learn from every experience life presents you. I am eager to learn and to better myself as an artist . Please allow me to show you my talent.

I usually don’t get out of bed for less than $10,000.00, but FNO is bigger than you and me. Well, maybe not me.

Hi there! Well, last time I did karaoke I went to Barracuda, stole the microphone from a beautiful drag queen, sang some Whitney and consequently won a drink ticket. If chosen, I will sing some more Whitney or maybe even some Selena.

I should be chosen for the FNO Karaoke challenge because I can’t sing with a lot of heart. I have been practicing for this night almost every week in Korea-town and while I haven’t gotten any better at singing my “stage presence” has won me many a pair of panties and boxershorts.

I can’t say whether or not I deserve to sing at Barneys anymore than the next person, but I can say that after years of singing (as a kid) on a fake mic to the supportive audience of my stuffed animals, I finally graduated to the level of singing in my shower and an audience of all those in my house who could here me belting out songs from my soapy concert hall. So…if that doesn’t qualify me for singing in front of the Olsen twins, I don’t know what will.

In conclusion, dear comment reader, I don’t know if I deserve to sing but I do know that my performance will blow the judges away..just like it did my stuff animal audience 🙂
