Mr. DeVohn Walker

Mr. DeVohn Walker
I was at the store yesterday with Julie Gilhart and Livia Firth. We had just wrapped up shooting Livia’s interview of Julie regarding ethical fashion for Vogue.com and how/if it can be related to the red carpet awards season. We were just about to part our ways when we spotted one immaculately dressed DeVohn Walker. This photo doesn’t quite do his look justice. You cannot tell but not only is he carrying a hatbox bag that says Paris, under his left arm he has a vintage copy of Truman Capote’s Breakfast at Tiffany’s. We were immediately drawn to him and Livia asked if she could interview him for the blog. He was thrilled and camera in-hand I watched the interview commence. Livia asked him what he thinks of when he hears “ethical fashion” and he responded enthusiastically (I wasn’t quite understanding the connection) when finally Livia very graciously interrupted him and said we are talking about “ethical” fashion not “ethNical” fashion. All four of us had quite a laugh. It just goes to show that ethical fashion is not a subject that people are entirely familiar with or converse about yet. We have a long way to go. Thanks for sharing a laugh DeVohn!
