Aesa – Warrior Woman

Aesa Fall 09

The new Aesa S10 collection appeals to my internal “warrior woman.” The designer, Randi Mates, was inspired by armor and medieval stone work, and she says that her new pieces

“explore the notion of a totemic piece that someone wears to celebrate their own power”

and that the pieces

“are meant to symbolize the bounty of your pursuit: the shape is the adventure, the stones are the inner meaning you seek.”

My favorite is the Honor shield necklace in oxidized sterling (left) – it has a tiny peridot and a tiny citrine, and peridot is said to relieve stress, clear a path to the heart, and enhance your sense of purpose among other things. Also it’s on a super-long 36.5″ chain, which I always love. 2010: new adventures and challenges, enhancing destiny and peace!
